Leadership Council
For nearly 50 years Conard House has been developing and delivering resources to help people self-manage serious, chronic mental illness. Our current strategic plan seeks, at its core, to transform the essential working relationship between our line staff and our clients, based upon a dynamic wellness model we are calling Community-Supported Self-Management (CSSM)
One of the goals of this plan is the "promotion and advancement of the mission and its relevance to current and future stakeholders, key policy makers and the public." The objective of the Leadership Council, comprised of Friends (volunteers representing a broad range of constituencies), is to provide individual leadership and focus on topics relevant to the mission; and to educate further Friends serving on the Council—about Conard House.
The role of a Council member is:
- To undertake an institutional development project.
- To lend the use of his/her name on web site and collateral material.
- To speak publicly or privately on behalf of the organization.
- To participate in periodic Leadership Council conferences.
