Supportive Housing
Ongoing support makes the difference between success and failure to those who live with chronic mental illness.
Conard House manages eight, well-maintained residential hotels in the Tenderloin and South of Market. These supportive housing units offer counseling, community involvement and coordination of essential services, including health education and self-management training. In addition, Conard House also provides intensive supervision of groups of four to six clients in private apartments throughout San Francisco.

"In Conard you are very independent all of the time. I have roommates… we each have a chore every day and we each do our chores. We try to remain respectful to each other; we have a house meeting once a week on Thursdays at 4 o'clock. Other than that we do our own thing. I'm thinking about going back to school and doing some more work."
